Nature Photography Contest Opens for Submissions

Nature photography contests

The annual Nature Photography Contest is now open for submissions, inviting photographers of all skills to showcase their best work. This contest aims to promote appreciation for the natural world and the importance of conservation through stunning imagery.

Submissions will be accepted until February 15, 2026. Photographers can enter a maximum of three photographs taken within the last year, highlighting themes such as landscapes, wildlife, and plant life. Prizes will be awarded for the top entries, including cash awards and photography gear.

The contest is organized by the local photography club in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation. Club members emphasize the role of such contests in fostering community engagement with nature and encouraging conservation efforts.

Last year’s contest received over 200 entries, showcasing the diverse beauty of the region’s ecosystems. Events like these not only enhance the local arts scene but also raise awareness about environmental issues.

Interested participants can submit their entries through the club’s website. For more information about submission guidelines and contest rules, visit the local photography club’s webpage.
